A Pennsylvania native, Brian Coates grew up just outside of Philadelphia. He holds a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of the Arts and also received the Rohm and Haas Fine Art Achievement award. Brian has participated in a variety of exhibits and published two issues of the Preston and Steve/WMMR comic book The League of Extraordinarily Stupid Gentlemen.
